Apple Croissants in Syrup

    Wash, peel and chop the apples into small pieces.

    Roll out the puff pastry and cut into triangles.

    Wrap a piece of apple in each triangle.

    Grease a deep baking dish with butter and place the apple-wrapped pastries on it.

    Melt the butter, add the white and brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla.

    Place on low heat and stir constantly until the sugar dissolves. When the mixture becomes homogeneous, pour it over the croissants.

    Pour Sprite (or other sweet soda) on top to prevent the glaze from washing off. The syrup should cover about half of the croissants.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius until the croissants are golden brown.
