Homemade Burakhi is a traditional Georgian refreshing drink made with rye bread, sugar, and yeast. It's a fermented beverage with a slightly sour and sweet flavor. Traditionally, it's enjoyed during the summer months.

    Pour water into a pot, add rye bread, sugar, and raisins (if using). Bring to a boil.

    Once it boils, turn off the heat and let it cool down to 36°C.

    Add the yeast to the cooled liquid and mix well.

    Leave it in a warm place for 3-4 hours until it foams.

    Once you notice the foam, pour it into bottles and refrigerate.
