Chanakh with Beef
Chanakh is a traditional Georgian dish made by layering meat and vegetables in a pot and baking it over low heat. This recipe offers a classic method for preparing Chanakh that is sure to please your family.

Cut the beef into medium-sized cubes. Finely chop the vegetables and herbs.

Place half of the chopped onion and pieces of butter on the bottom of the pot.

Then layer the meat, potatoes, eggplant, mushrooms, and bell peppers. Sprinkle each layer with salt and cilantro.

Pour in the white wine and water. Place cherry tomatoes and bay leaf on top.

Cover the pot and place it on low heat or in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 2.5 hours.

Dissolve the tomato paste in a small amount of boiling water (about 50ml).
