Chvishtari Chicken Burger with Gurian Hazelnut Sauce
A burger built with maize-and-cheese chvishtari, pan-fried chicken and bacon, and a herb-rich Gurian hazelnut sauce. Makes approximately 4 portions; allow about 45 minutes preparation and 40 minutes cooking as editorial estimates because the publisher gives no yield or time.
Ingredients
- Egg1 piece
- Garlic4 cloves
- apple cider vinegar1 tbsp
Instructions
6 steps- 1
Blend half the hazelnuts with the cilantro, parsley, celery, oil, Svan salt, garlic, green chili, apple cider vinegar and cold water.
- 2
Gradually blend in the remaining hazelnuts until the Gurian sauce reaches the desired thickness.
- 3
Mix the maize flour, cheese, egg, bicarbonate of soda, salt, 20 ml oil and enough cream to form a unified chvishtari dough; shape it into burger-sized rounds.
- 4
Bake the chvishtari rounds until firm and golden. The publisher gives no oven setting; allow about 25 minutes at 200°C only as practical editorial guidance and check doneness.
- 5
Pan-fry the chosen chicken pieces until fully cooked, and brown the bacon. The source gives no cut, amount or cooking time. As practical food-safety guidance, verify chicken reaches 74°C internally.
- 6
Assemble each burger with chvishtari, cooked chicken, browned bacon and Gurian hazelnut sauce, and serve.
