    Place the cornmeal in a large bowl, add salt, and mix well.

    Gradually add warm water and knead the dough. The dough should be soft but not sticky. Add more flour or water if necessary.

    Grate the cheese on a coarse grater or cut it into small cubes.

    Divide the dough into 4 equal parts. Roll out each part into a small round disc, place cheese in the center, and seal it so the cheese is enclosed. Then flatten it again into a round shape, about 1.5-2 cm thick.

    Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the chvishtari on both sides until golden brown and crispy (about 5-7 minutes per side).
