Ghandzili

Ghandzili is a delicious Kakhetian dish made from fresh Ghandzili sprouts. It is usually served with Mchadi (Georgian cornbread), but it is also delicious on its own.

  • Kakhetian Oil (Sunflower Oil)60 ml

    Sort through the Ghandzili, remove any damaged leaves, and wash thoroughly.

    Bring water to a boil in a pot and add the Ghandzili. Cook covered for 2-3 minutes, until tender.

    As soon as it boils, remove it quickly and transfer it to cold water. Then transfer to a colander and squeeze well by hand to remove excess water.

    Drizzle the squeezed Ghandzili with Kakhetian oil, add salt and chopped cilantro. Mix well.

    Serve with Mchadi (Georgian cornbread).
