Gozinaki
Gozinaki is a traditional Georgian New Year's sweet made from walnuts and honey. It's a crunchy and delicious dessert, perfect for a festive table.

Toast the walnuts in a dry pan until golden and fragrant. Do not chop, leave them whole.

Transfer the walnuts to a cutting board and crush them into large pieces with a wooden stick or rolling pin.

Pour honey into a saucepan and add powdered sugar (if using). Place over low heat and bring to a boil, stirring slowly.

Once the honey boils, add the crushed walnuts and stir well.

Continue to simmer over low heat, stirring constantly, for about 5 minutes, until the mixture becomes sticky.

Transfer the gozinaki to a wet cutting board or baking paper and flatten it into a thin layer.
