This is a traditional Kakhetian sweet bread baked in a tone (Georgian clay oven). Nazuki evokes childhood memories and is perfect for breakfast or dessert.

    For the filling, pour oil into a pan, add finely chopped onion, and sauté until golden brown. Optionally, remove the onion from the oil.

    Add flour and sugar to the oil (with or without onion) and simmer until the sugar dissolves and the mixture becomes smooth. Remove from heat and let cool.

    For the dough, dissolve the yeast in warm water. Add flour, salt, and knead into a soft dough. Finally, add a little oil and knead well.

    Place the dough in a warm place to rise for about 1 hour.

    Preheat the oven to 180°C.

    Divide the dough into small pieces, roll each one out, and place the filling inside. Roll them up into small logs.
