Oil-based Choux Pastry with Custard Cream

    In a thick-bottomed saucepan, pour water, oil and salt. Place on the heat and add flour as soon as it boils.

    Stir quickly with a wooden spoon and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat, let the dough cool slightly and gradually mix in the eggs one by one.

    Preheat oven to 200°C. Place balls of dough on a baking sheet, leaving space between them. Bake for 40-50 minutes on the middle rack. During baking, reduce the heat to 180-150 degrees, bake well. Do not open the oven door until baked so that the dough does not fall.

    To prepare the cream: pour milk, flour and sugar into a saucepan. Bring to a boil, simmer and cool.

    Gradually mix the cooled cream into the well-beaten butter. Add vanilla to taste.

    Put the cream in the already baked, cooled choux pastry. Sprinkle with powdered sugar on top.
