    Wash the plums, cut them in half and remove the pits.

    Place the plums in a saucepan, add water (if needed) and sugar (if using). Bring to a boil and simmer over low heat until the plums are soft (about 30-40 minutes).

    Let the plum mixture cool slightly and then blend until smooth.

    Preheat oven to 60-80 degrees Celsius. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the plum puree thinly (about 2-3 mm thick) on the parchment paper.

    Bake in the oven for about 4-6 hours, until the Tklapi becomes elastic and does not stick to your hands. You can also dry it in the sun, in which case it will take 2-3 days.

    Cut the cooled Tklapi into desired sizes and store in an airtight container.
