Tsandili with White Mulberry Jam
Tsandili is a traditional Georgian dessert made from boiled wheat, honey, walnuts, dried fruits, and white mulberry jam. It's a nutritious and energetic dish, especially popular during the winter months.

Prepare the necessary ingredients: chop the dried cornelian cherries and walnuts, wash and dry the raisins.

Pour water over the wheat berries and cook thoroughly for about 1 hour, until softened.

Drain the wheat, leaving a little bit of the cooking liquid.

Add chopped walnuts, dried cornelian cherries, white mulberry jam and raisins to the cooked wheat.

Sprinkle with sugar (optional).

Add honey and mix well.

Bring to a simmer once more over low heat for about 5 minutes. At this stage, the tsandili will thicken slightly.
