Gozinaki Alternative
This is a simple and economical alternative to Gozinaki, made with sunflower seeds, peanuts, and raisins. This honey and sugar-based treat is a great dessert or an energy-boosting snack.

Toast the sunflower seeds and peanuts in a dry pan until golden brown. Let cool and remove the skins (if necessary).

Pour the honey into a heavy-bottomed pan and bring to a boil, until it foams. Reduce heat and simmer for one hour.

Add the sugar and boil again, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Simmer for another hour on low heat.

Add the toasted nuts, sunflower seeds, and raisins to the pan. Mix well with a wooden spoon.
