    Peel and wash the potatoes. Slice them into very thin slices (about 3 mm thick).

    Grease a baking dish with butter and evenly spread the chopped garlic.

    Arrange the potato slices in the baking dish in layers, like fish scales. Season each layer with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Drizzle with a little cream.
