Potatoes Dauphinoise
Potatoes Dauphinoise is a classic French dish made with thinly sliced potatoes, cream, garlic, and spices. It is a delicious and comforting side dish that pairs perfectly with meat or fish.

Peel and wash the potatoes. Slice them into very thin slices (about 3 mm thick).

Grease a baking dish with butter and evenly spread the chopped garlic.

Arrange the potato slices in the baking dish in layers, like fish scales. Season each layer with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Drizzle with a little cream.

Repeat layering until all the potatoes are used up. Pour the remaining cream over the top layer and dot with small pieces of butter.
